The ENRICH Project is a unique and innovative project that was established in 2012 to address the health and socio-economic effects of environmental racism in Mi’kmaw and African Nova Scotian communities. Led by Dr. Ingrid Waldron, the project led to numerous attempts to introduce parliamentary bills (most recently C-230) to address environmental racism, as well as a documentary based on Dr. Waldron’s 2018 book There’s Something in the Water, which has drawn international attention to the issue.
